1. Recycled Polyester

Recycled Polyester

Polyester is a durable fabric that is easy to care for. It is very suitable for creating pleated garments, as the polyester itself keeps the pleated structure in place. Generally – Polyester keeps its shape very well, does not shrink, and is almost wrinkle free. We use recycled polyester instead of virgin polyester throughout our collections whenever possible. Currently, our polyester is made by using recycled PET bottles and breaking them down to create new filament fibres to use for fabric. This is much better than using virgin polyester, not only because we become less dependent on natural resources such as petroleum, but the production process of recycled polyester requires much less water and energy to produce.

House of Dagmar uses recycled polyester whenever possible. Our goal is that 95% of the polyester we use should be recycled within the coming years.

You can wash polyester on higher temperatures than many other delicate fabrics, always follow the specific instructions on the garment's care instructions label.

Store your polyester garments on a padded hanger.
