1. Recycled Polyester

Recycled Polyester

Polyester is a durable fabric that is easy to care for. Generally – polyester keeps its shape well, does not shrink, and is almost wrinkle-free. For instance, it is suitable for creating pleated garments as the polyester keeps the pleated structure. We use recycled polyester instead of virgin polyester throughout our collections whenever possible. We currently use polyester made from breaking down recycled PET bottles to create new filament fibres for the fabric. This method is better than virgin polyester production since we become less dependent on natural resources such as petroleum. In addition, recycled polyester requires much less water and energy to produce.

House of Dagmar uses recycled polyester whenever possible. Our goal in the coming years is for 95% of the polyester we use to be recycled.

WASHING

Polyester is washable at higher temperatures than many other delicate fabrics. Always follow the specific instructions on the garment's care label.
