The House of Dagmar A/W 2015 runway show unveiled ‘In Praise of Shadows’ collection and showcased the seasons shadowing and draping techniques. Influenced by the orient and the 1970’s, the collection introduced various layered and voluminous styles on the runway.
Shadowing effects were found in the collections contrasting matt and shiny show pieces allowing new dimensions and angels come into focus. The colour palette was grouped and carried various shades of rust, fudge and caspian blue; as well as off-white, grey and silver tones.
The A/W15 collection takes a heavy source of inspiration from the Swedish Painters Alexander Roslin portrait ‘The Lady with the Veil’ of his wife Marie-Suzanne Giroust in 1768.
